The title of the magazine is in a bold red, this is important as it means it is easy for people to see what magazine it is. The fact that the jokers head also covers the "P" in the magazine title is also important as it draws your attention to the image of the joker and it is very clear that the magazine is going to have a main article about the new film. The colour of the text used in the line "Meet the joker" are neon green and neon purple, which match the colours of what the joker is wearing. The word "Joker" also stands out a lot because of the brightness of the green. The neon green and purple are also used towards the bottom of the magazine. I feel the magazine has a "graffiti style" theme to it and this is also emphasised by the text that is written across the middle of the magazine. It says "hes a cold blooded, mass murdering clown", it looks like it has been handwritten and looks quite like graffiti, fitting with the overall theme of the magazine. The other important thing which most magazines feature is the "Plus" writing on the front cover, this is to show the viewer of the other features in the magazine.
The main colours used in this magazine cover are red and white, this something I have noticed is used quite a lot in the "Empire" magazine. These colours stand out and draw attention to the reader. The film that is the main highlight of this issues "Empire is "Public Enemies", this is made quite clear with the title of the film in the middle of the cover and behind this is the image of Johnny Depp who is a main character in a film- this is a typical convention of a movie magazine to have a main character on the front cover. He face also overlaps the title of the magazine, this portrays his importance in the film. The cover also has four other images on the front cover, something I have not seen very often. This must mean that they are important articles aswell.
